Dr. Chung is a well-established Internist in the Dallas area with more than 20 years of clinical practice experience. Prior to his career as a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician, Dr. Chung grew up in California and attended University of California Davis where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. In 1992, he obtained his Medical Doctorate (MD) from Tufts Medical School in Boston, MA. After completing an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, he proudly served as a Field Surgeon and Captain in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Kuwait and Iraq. He received his board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Echocardiography, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. From 1998 to 2018, Dr. Chung established his own private clinic and has practiced Internal Medicine. In September of 2018, he established Dallas Health Partners in partnership with Kathryn Cornelius, MD, MBA.
During his time in Dallas, TX, Dr. Chung has had the privilege of serving as Medical Director and Vice President in the Patient Center Medical Home division of Baylor Scott and White Quality Alliance from 2013 to 2017. He has been recognized as one of the Top Doctors in Dallas, TX in D Magazine as voted by his peers and has also been honored by being asked to speak about various clinical research studies for pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Chung is an active staff member of the Review Oversight Committee with NCQA which aims to change the direction of Healthcare in Washington DC. He is currently on staff at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX.
God has directed and led Dr. Chung’s life. He has been married to his wife for over 25 years and they have 3 beautiful daughters. They are proud to call Dallas, Texas their home. In his spare time, Dr. Chung enjoys scuba-diving and skiing.
